Tiatr, St. Anthony and Siolim Church
SANT ANTON Milagrincho Sagor SAINT ANTHONY- The ocean of miracles. First show at Pananji was houseful. All tickets were sold 11 hrs before the show time i.e. 7.30pm. The show was too good. At the beginign, it was shown why, when and how the Siolim Church of St. Anthony was built.. see actual siolim Church here.. http://www.flickr.com/photos/joegoauk4/173803733/ So many miracles of St. Anthony shown on stage like Infant Jesus (statute) plays in the arms of St. Anthony, 3 day hungry donkey choosing to bow down before the Saint rather than eating grass, devil/serpent shown destructing the building work of St. Anthony church Siolim, Goa, shoal of fish coming to the shore (sea water), a child was stopped from falling (frozen half way) from the 2nd floor, a dead man coming alive from the coffin to provide evidence to the court, an infant baby talks much to the surprise of her confused father who doubted the paternity etc etc Our two brothers (Prince Jacob & Humbert) as priests, show how sometimes priests themselves fall victim to the temptation of devil by longing for outside world happiness like women, sex, disco, gambling etc etc. Songs are also too good from the carefully selected actors. All songs received huge public applause. There was one song on the life of Pe. .Jose Vaz, Fr. Agnelo and St, Francis Xavier where life sized pictures (ply wood cutting) brought on stage one by one, really brought tears into so many people including me and my wife. Comedy was as usual. Well done Prince Jacob, you are still the number one crowd puller. Every one must watch the Tiatr, it is devotional too.
