Dear Cornel,

re: the attached message from you, may I say how happy I am to learn that
your daughter eventually received the right treatment, and consequently
recovered.

Yes, cold cuts on board (esp the mayo) can present problems.

Dr Francisco Colaco has access to GoaNet, and I am sure he will respond
...however, he is an extremely reputed Cardiologist. I'd really doubt that
he would have been the physician involved in treating a child with suspected
food poisoning.

But then, I might be in error. In an emergency, we all stretch (gingerly)
outside our respective fields.

Over to you Fansicot (:-)

muchos rekardhs to all

Hi Jose
Is Dr Francisco Colaco from Benaulim? From your post, I suspect that he is
the one I drove to meet, with my dad, at midnight to his home in December
1981. Following my description of my daughter's very sick condition, he
prescribed desperately needed drugs. I then obtained them from Margao
hospital. They definitely saved my young daughter's life from acute food
poisoning, having eaten a cold buffet on Swiss Air. The earlier doctor we
had consulted, just failed on a proper diagnosis, despite two urgent visits
and simply recommended Calpol.

If he is indeed the person, I'd like to drop him a line to say that the
person he saved, at a desperate time, from pretty certain death is now a
doctor.
Cornel
