By some co-incidence, MIguel Braganza handed over to me yesterday
copies of some very interesting and locally-relevant low-priced
book(let)s dealing with plants and trees of the region. Unfortunately,
like all Goa publications, these might be hard to locate/purchase by
those who need them:

* Britto Book of Plants. PTA of St Britto High School, 1995 Rs 25.
* Growing Vegetables. Green Heritage. Miguel Braganza, Francis Borges,
Sheela Kumar eds. Published by Green Heritage, Fields View,
Portavaddo, Siolim, Bardez Goa 403517. Rs 20.
* All you wanted to know about coconut but did not know where to find
out!! Green Heritage Eco Club, St Francis Xavier High School, Siolim,
Goa.
* A little about Kokum: Garcinia Indica. Miguel Braganza & Rena
Fernandes, eds. Green Heritage Eco Club of SFX Siolim, affiliated to
the Botanical Society of Goa.

Contact our fellow Goanetter [EMAIL PROTECTED] (Miguel Braganza)
if you're interested. Selling such books internationally might be
difficult, maybe lulu.com or instabook.net could provide a model for
easy distribution among the scattered Goan diaspora. --FN
