Aristo responds: Vivek, do not even try to say that you have not tried to absolve modi when you have at least tried to do so by posing us the question to "reflect" upon! Why don't you make it clear, do you think that modi is innocent or guilty? Unfortunately, I do not have any evidence to prove either contention, and moreover, both the commissions appointed to investigate - Nanavati & Banerjee are alleged to have their biases. But the FACT remains that senior Police officials like ACP Shivanand Jha could not explain the overall inaction against the riots. Until one of them speaks out, the truth will remain elusive. All we have now is the circumstantial evidence that clearly points to modi. And I am very well inclined to believe it. While Mario may have had inhibitions to answer the question you asked us to reflect upon in the interest of restraint, I have none, in this particular case. It is the same reason why 52% of America voted Bush back into power after killing 42,000+ innocent civilians (and counting): Some were stupid, others were naive and readily bought the Republican/RSS-BJP propaganda, and the rest were plain ol' bigoted B*******! You remind me of my current boss, with whom I have constant arguments about modi - although he (my boss) is very progressive in his other views, he comes across as communal although he has only naively bought the RSS propaganda. I hope at least you are the same, and not communal, because if you are, you haven't heard the last of me. As for your fake email id, you have every right to remain anonymous. You may have your own personal reasons: right from insecurity of your opinions to insecurity of your security like Elisabeth. As for me, while I do not sign off with my complete name, I personally know one active Goanetter and at least one silent Goanetter who would vouch for my identity, should I be asked to do so or if the situation requires me to do so. Regards, Aristo. PS. Please try to address people's names (including yourself) with the first letter in upper case, as everyone (except the likes of modi) is deserving of a minimum amount of respect. _______________________________________________ Goanet mailing list [email protected] http://lists.goanet.org/listinfo.cgi/goanet-goanet.org
