Talking Photos: Fort Aguad, its lower forts, Light House, Central Jail, Two
colour Sea
Water, River Princess etc etc

..and I thought (and I am sure most of you) that Fort Aguad means either the
one with the
light house (Aguad Foler), see Pic 1 & 2 or the one near the Aguad Beach resort
(see pic
3).

On 10th August, when we went to visit the Central Jail Prisoners (a report
coming soon),
we also had an opportunity to visit the Simquerim Church (Feast of St.Lawrence
whose pic
appeared in my prev. talking photos ‘August month memory’) and then the other
forts in
its vicinity.

Our visit to the lower forts purely accidental, as we were curious as to know
where
other tourists were heading to from Pic 3.

We loved it so much that we have planned a whole day picnic there soon.

The view is superb, see pics.

Did you know ? One can start his journey/walking/trekking from below the Light
House pic
1 & 2 and come out on Pic 3 (main road near hotel) or vice versa. You will
come across
all the lower forts plus beautiful view of Campal, Miramar, Donapaul, Vasco etc
etc. The
whole journey might take about an hour (not suitable for children & older
people).
However, from pic 3 thru Pic 12 it would take about 30 minutes one way.

Government/tourism dept. should provide easy access to all people young and
old by
providing hand rails etc for safety reasons. Also, the man-made walking paths
should be
developed for the benefit of all.

Would appreciate, if any one could throw more light on this subject matter.

Home Work:
1.Observe carefully pic No. 10. Why you think the sea water has or appear to
have two
different colours ?
2.See Pic 4. How long the boat (in the background) been there and why ?
3.See Pic 4 & 5. How many such lower forts are there, you think ?
4.All such lower forts are built on rock. True or False ?

Imp: Those who come back without doing their home work will be made to kneel
down on
'Nachina' or 'Nachonnem' or 'fator' (stones)as punishment or '100 Kanbotte' or
'pandam
eusor lingttea ou peri-boddiecho mar'
