Hi,
There is also one house in the lane of David and Co, which caters food and
is crowded in the afternoons, with lots of Goans who eat there. I believe
the people who do the catering are Mangloreans. It was a chance happening
that I heard of this place and really enjoyed the food.
As for Hotel Vienna, its now a lodging with rooms available. Last time I had
gone there, their restaurant business had closed down.
As for the water melon juice as mentioned by Eugene, I tried in Mapuca in
the cold drink shop near the temple, ( not Hanuman cold drink shop) and it
really sucked, I would give 100 marks for the one available in Kayani.
Cheers
Jerry Fernandes

Eugene, Bastani is closed, Kyani is still open...
In Jan when I went down for my usual quota of Konkani music
cassettes, Bastani was closed. I remember the cashier used
to keep a live cock at the cash counter. On 3rd Marine street,
there is a restaurant 'Nova Goa' but they were not so good.
