Hi Godfrey You have worked hard to promote equal status for Romi lipi along with Pratap Naik, S.J. and others in Goa - the real foot soldiers are in Goa. However, you are barking up the wrong tree, do not expect Goans expats outside the stalwarts in the Gulf to do anything. Goan expats had the opportunity this year to support Romi lipi and failed, barely a few hundred signed the online petition. When it comes to actually doing work, few Goans show up. If speeches and cyber messages are needed, you will get a "house full". Many Goans expats individually do well but when it comes to reaching out to help Goa and Goans, they are a mostly a lazy, good-for-nothing lot (there are exceptions of course). In fact, Goan expats have had many opportunities (Abbe Faria stamp, Blessed Vaz cause, Romi lipi, etc.) and failed each time. However, do not be discouraged, Goans in Goa are far more progressive and working for change on a number of fronts. That is where you will have success.
