21.8.06 There are many things that simply don't add up in this case.
It appears that some one somewhere trying to cover up.. Rumours about Drugs dealings cannot be ruled out (the boy may have known too much and hence they silenced him ?) Top politician/s involvement also cannot be ruled out. The 5 accused may have taken the extreme step due to the support or backing they enjoyed from the top. As I said elsewhere, another thing that I found very unusual is that The chief Minister (and Vasco MLA) also discussed with all the 5 accused on the 16th Aug 'What has been discussed not known yet'. Also, it was said both top police officials individually interrogated the accused in the presence of the Chief Minister and MLA. Do they always do this ? or only this time ? if so, why ? Any such police/crime cases/investigation should be free from any political pressure. What's going on behind closed doors, nobody knows..
