Sarva Siksha Abhyan---------I was shocked to read 15 crores are given to the
Goa Government. I came to know this organisation exists, due to a newspaper
advertisement I understood for a computer Desktop Course.Address given was
behind Catering Institute. When I went searching, I discovered it was in
Probodini School.
So I went to the office .SSA has an office there. A board can be seen from
the roadside. Nobody knew details,forms were available to
fill, fees Rs1000/-, three months course,3 days/week,details depending on
number of
candidates!
Unless details of how many days/week, timings etc, I could
not fill any form, also why fees when the grant is for education of the
Janta. We are also paying educational cess in our Telephone Bills and
other places! I was given a mobile number to contact, where I found course
not suitable for me. I suggested better program advertisement/organisation
of courses bearing people in mind and their convenience.I
also suggested a basic computer course for senior citizens.This was about
two to three months back.
