Great news regarding the film on Leslie, one of India's hockey greats. Very gentle and soft-spoken. Never saw him in his prime but heard stories of his exploits from my dad and other oldtimers. Time to do similar movies on other sports heroes. Just recently I was browsing through my copy of Dyan Chand's book, Goal, and I realized how important such literature is for young hockey players to read and emulate a wizard like Dyan Chand. If only someone had thought of an idea to make a film on him, it would have been great. Regarding hockey goalkeeping, I happen to read that the FIH is considering that three options, either to have a fully equipped goalkeeper, a goalkeer with bare protection and no goalkeeper. FIH thinks it will have in making the game more exciting, possibly having more goals scored. If teams decided on the last option of having no goalkeeper, the art of goalkeeping will be dead. Over the years, FIH has experimented with many experimental laws. Some have helped in making the game much better, some just nominal. eugene _______________________________________________ Goanet mailing list Goanet@lists.goanet.org http://lists.goanet.org/listinfo.cgi/goanet-goanet.org
