Hi Selma, I agree with your point about there being no room for "discovery bavery business" in the Indian/Goan psyche.
In your opinion, are expat goan parents in Europe and North America more accomodating w.r.t. the above. I would expect them to be. My parents always placed great importance on formal education but always encouraged us (we are 3 kids) to travel all over India. Travel always results in a broadening of mindset that no formal education can compete with. Indian youth are now realising what a great experience it can be (and also how cheap it is!) to travel India. All the best with your plans.
