Survey: On August month memories, 'Dogs month' was the top answer

I have received a few queries asking 'why dogs picture or what dog has to do
with the August month ?
Ánd that inspired me to conduct a survey (UK TV show family Fortune-Les Denis
style).
Also, I thought it would be appropriate to clarify this in the August month
itself.
I stopped at busy market places at around 6pm at Goa Velha, Agassaim,
Cortalim, Majorda and Cansaulim.
I asked one hundred people (men only) - what August month reminds them of ?
Amongst others, the top answer was 'Sunneamcho muino' or dogs' month
69 people said Sunneamcho muino
38 also said Ássunt Saibinnichem Fest'
32 also said 'Patollio'
21 also said Independence Day (So low because they did not know how to say
Índependnce Day' in Konkani, I guess)
Others also said: Sam Lorence fest, coconut breaking, Gonnes, paus etc etc
During August month, one can see groups of dogs all over, usually, male/female
ratio 10:1 .
Traditionally August month is very popular..You ask any 'Goemkar' and almost
everyone answer would be 'dogs'month'
Now, some of you may say, if it is so popular, then why only 69 said it ?
Well, not all of the 100 I asked were known to me and how would some of them
give such straight answer to a stranger ?
Note: I only spoken to konkani speaking Goans. And I am quite happy with my
achievements.
Now, what is 'Dogs month'?
It is nothing but Dogs' mating month, where female dog temperature is at peak.
August month is known for dogs mating and this even a child of 10 can vouch

Note: In the picture, one can see two dogs in a 'Locked' position, and that's
all.
When I saw it, it brought back my childhood memories, we called it a
'sunneachem laddis' (Laddis is a small four wheeler open sort of square
platform which runs on railway tracks by Rly maintenance personnel, operated
manually by two men by pushing behind it and the inspector/s sit on it, don't
know if they still exist) and I decided to share with you as usual..If I was
wrong, here i say sorry but this does not affect your statutory rights. You
can still register your protest.

Homework:
Besides dogs, what are the other animals which get themselves locked
immediately after mating ?
(please don't include Zol'le, Gurgumttio, Kakule etc)
