I'm not sure if you know this, Placido D'Souza's daughters, Lucia and
Maria, used to chat regularly with Goanet's founder Herman Carneiro on
the Internet Relay Chat (IRC) back in 1993-1994. It was those IRC
conversations which inspired the Herminator to start Goanet.
