Selma, Journalists don't need any reason to simply hang around the place :-)
We're going off-topic, so before this thread bites the bullet: Palme's murder was the first of its kind in modern Swedish history and had an impact across Scandinavia similar to that of JFK in the United States.... Palme attributed his becoming a socialist to three major influences.... Palme was a controversial political figure on the international scene: his outspoken criticism of the United States for the Vietnam war; his vocal opposition to the Soviets crushing the Prague Spring; campaigning against nuclear weapons proliferation; criticism towards the Franco Regime in Spain; opposition to apartheid and support for economic sanctions against South Africa; his support—both political and financial—for the African National Congress (ANC) and the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO); meeting with Fidel Castro of Cuba, all ensured that Palme had much opposition abroad, as well as friends in many countries..... Palme's assassination remains unsolved, with a number of conspiracy theories surrounding the murder.... SOURCE: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Olof_Palme No Selma, I don't think you're right here. Lisbet Palme was just wounded by a second shot. FN PS: BTW, the big story when we were young in Goa was the still unexplained shooting of Shashikala Kakodkar's brother, Siddharth Bandodkar. Anyone recalls that? PPS: Alfred, now that they have whetted everyone's appetite, please tell them the story of the bullet. Also, spill the beans on "Speaker sir, you are a fool, and so is everyone of these 40 people around here." (Or words to that effect.) Lastly, what about the story of Bofors you used to do for The Week, and copy to the Herald, when I was still a very, very junior sub?
