Goan caste system...reply to Mr Ino Lobo
Ingrid Mathews,
Milton Keynes, UK

It is real pity to see one Mr Ino Lobo, who calls himself a real Goan now in UK
to be so frustrated at me for pointing out at the dirty caste system. Me and
everyone do understand his frustration for no reasons and sorry to say that his
expressions does not match to explain the existence of the present caste system
in the Goan Catholic community but rather vent his frustration with venom. The
reason could be simple, he must definately be belonging to the so called
"Catholic Brahmin" community of Goa.

I am not from Goa as you point out, please read my address. But am a vivid
lover of Goa and a learner of customs and people around the World being a
frequent traveller around the Globe. My love for Goa prompted me to study about
Goa and its humble people and one thing I learnt was about the existing caste
system that I wrote about.

Thank you Mr Thom Agsekhar, bravo and Viva for standing with the truth. The
caste system in the Catholic community is a living legend in Goa as per the
people I met and interviewed. Is Mr Lobo is denying or is ashamed to admit?
Since he is claiming to be in the UK, may be he is out of touch with his native
place. Viva Goa, long live the harmony and the real truth may
prevail.
