Dear Mario, I think I told you before, I have an extremely firm grip on whatever I write. If you are going to insult me, you're going to have to be smarter than the coterie of cheerleaders who have proclaimed you as their leader and exalted you to the position of "Wisest Man on Goanet".
Please widen the range of your reading material, which perhaps should include books by notable historians and philosophers like Bertrand Russell. In his History of Western Philosophy, he details the reasons for strict celibacy within the Catholic Church. If you don't wish to read books which might offend your sensibilities, use google. Here is an excerpt from an article I found on google. EXCERPT - A further and very important factor in the push to require celibacy for clergy was the problematic relationship the Roman Catholic Church had with real estate and inherited land. Priests and bishops were not just religious leaders: they also had political power over the people. When they controlled land, which was at the time the basis for any political power, that land could either go to the church or to the man's heirs when he died.
