Velho, Velho, Velho,
Only in cyberspace can my suggestion of a labour supply agency be distorted into a labour control agency. There is a marked difference between a control economy and an organised one. An organised economy needs as its basis efficient dissemination of information and it is to this end, that labour supply companies operate. Labour supply companies operate all over the world, even in the one of the most capitalist and democratic country namely the USA. Infact, doing a cursory google search I found that one state had made it a government mission to form such an agency for casual labour. Wow, someone in the US took my suggestion seriously. Here is an excerpt from a link you might wish to look up: EXCERPT: Casual Labor is a temporary labor exchange designed to answer the short-term labor needs of the community. Businesses and individuals can obtain temporary workers through the divisions two Casual Labor offices located in Las Vegas and Reno. END OF EXCERPT Here is more information on this agency: http://detr.state.nv.us/pio/detr_ovr.htm Here is another link, which talks about the regulation of day labour. http://72.14.203.104/search?q=cache:W4_oXlJfIXAJ:www.fairjobs.org/docs/n%26c1.pdf+casual+labor+agencies+in+US&hl=en&gl=us&ct=clnk&cd=5 So you see, the concept of regulating day labour is nothing new or undemocratic. selma ------------------------------------------ --- Sunith Velho <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Dear Selma, > > > Also, please provide in defence of your labour > control idea one democratic > country where this idea has been successfully > implemented.
