I too wish Ana Maria, that people in Goa would restore their hotels into B & Bs or small boutique hotels instead of razing them to the ground to build ugly concrete structures. Many of these people did not need the money - its a crying shame.Then they have the gall to throw culture at others - especially French which ironically is all about preservation of old monuments. That's why its truly commendable that the Peres ladies not only preserved their beautiful house in San Pedro for their future generations but allowed everyone else a chance to enjoy it too.
