Henrietta Moraes picture expected to fetch more than £6m
28 Sep: The Evening Standard. A picture of Henrietta Moraes by Francis
Bacon is expected to fetch more than £6 million when it goes on sale at
Sotheby's in New York in November. Bacon met Mrs Moraes, former wife of
poet Dom Moraes, in Soho in the Sixties and she became one of his favourite
subjects. Another depiction of Mrs Moraes was auctioned for £3.55 million
in 2002, a world record at the time. Bacon has been described as the
