But there are some websites which allow free download of konkani mp3 oldies...I repeat oldies, as these are not available in the market. I have forwarded a few mp3 oldies only to promote konkani music as there are many Goans worldwide who long to hear old konkani songs. Am sure those who received the songs, will definately buy more konkani music when they touch down India. As for sharing on the net, first of all Konkani music is not easily available in the market (Goa/Mumbai). Even if its available the quality of CD's or cassettes is not up to the mark. Last Dec when I checked with Sinari in Margao, he did not have enough konkani music with him, but the gaddo opp the old wholesale fish market had quite a lot. The same also in Mumbai, one can get the latest on the foothpath at Mahim Church on Wednesdays. It is also very difficult to get old konkani songs by Alfred Rose or Lorna, what is now available is the remix of oldies, masalas or old songs sung by new artists. These oldies are not available on CD, but only cassettes or records, which has to be converted to CD/MP3 with available software on the net. Very few of the latest music sets have cassette decks, but mostly its a DVD/CD/MP3/WMA etc. We are yet to hear Konkani Karaoke music. A friend of mine just sent me this link for online konkani music. http://www.goaholidayhomes.com/goan-music.php Below are some links from where you can download Konkani Songs MP3 for free. You may have to sign up at www.coolgoose.com to download the same. Some sites may not work.but try coolgoose it works!
