Your 'faghagginess' will need to be updated to include same-sex partners as
excellent parents to completely normal, well adjusted, heterosexual
children. In fact, single-parent heterosexuals have more trouble raising
their children, which is obviously not an ideal family but becoming more
prevalent and accepted than same-sex parenting.

Whether these children are biological (ie. previous marriage, artificial
insemination, etc.) or adopted makes no difference to their emotional
stability in a family where both parents are of the same gender. In fact,
they tend to be much more open-minded and aware of the differences and
similarities between people.
As with any family, when two different individuals co-habit with the
intention of raising a family, various other dynamics come into play.
Same-sex couples have an added stress of how (they and) their children will
be treated by (parents of) school-mates because of their 'alternative'
lifestyle.
In every society, attitudes towards minorities are slow to change. In
Canada, we are now beginning to deal with the issues surrounding same-sex
DIVORCE! My hope is that within my lifetime, sexual orientation will no
longer be an issue.

However, the "right" to raise children is
another matter. I for one, hope that India does not
encourage any such moves. Not because I think
homosexuals are incapable of raising good moral human
beings, but because I earnestly feel that the
emotional well being of a child is best served in a
two-gender family. There, I guess I'm not that
liberal, after all. Now, where are my right-wing
friends? Anyone? Anyone out there? :))
