Dear Anna Maria, I'm truly delighted that you wore a sari while on a visit to Australia. My wife Lea, a Goan like you and me, regularly wears a sari, and wore a sari to work every day for the 39 years she was at the UN International School in New York City; for 32 of those years she was the principal. We should salute those who proudly assert their national identity. Some choose to sneer at them. It takes all kinds.
