Hi Eric I think the film about the Graf Spee is reasonably faithful to what actually happened untill scuttled. Peter Finch's part as its captain was excellent but the English actors as captains etc perhaps overdid their parts with stiff upper lips and being cool uncharacteristically whilst depicting the dangerous circumstances of the time.
Thanks for the subsequent Indian links. There were other ships which got sold to India and one was the mighty Bulwark which I had an opportunity to visit on board when in Kilindini harbour, Kenya.
