It really looks like a different treatment to different people. About 4 months ago, I read on news paper that demolition of seven structures directed which had come up within 200mt of high tide line. And . Again, 3 months ago, there were 323 such cases registered for violation of the Coastal Regulation Zone (CRZ) and majority of them in North Goa. These included Hotels, Bungalows, Bars etc (mostly from north Goa) According to last July Report on Newspaper.. The details of the constructions which have violated the Coastal Regulation Zone (CRZ) Act, as regards their locations in different panchayat/ municipal areas are as follows: Anjuna/ Kaisuva - 37, Harmal - 56, Calangute - 64, Candolim - 28, Canacona municipal area - 27, Mandrem - 30, Morjim - 27, Velsao Pale - 2, Varca - 3, Siolim - 3, Keri -11, Sernabhati - 9, Old Goa - 2, Reis Magos - 3, Betalbatim - 4, Poinguinim - 1, Agonda - 1, Arpora-Nagoa - 1, Cansaulim-Arossim - 1, Colva - 1, Majorda - 2, Nerul - 2 and Tiswadi - 3. But not known if the above structures are also demolished nor remember seeing such pics in the newspaper.
