Very Unlikely.  Since I live within a mile from Harvard and MIT in the 
Cambridge/Somerville area I have asked atleast 6 Harvard and 2 MIT student - 
four of them foreign born.  The answer I got was if you do not have to go, 
you cannot force yourself to go.

Unlike Harvard MBA's there is a requirement to spend more than one semester 
in a Co-Op business environment with an overseas organization.

On the other hand "The Goan Father of a Young Lad studying at Harvard" is 
making a point that his "Lad" is at "HARVARD" not a local Joe-Shmow school - 
he is talking of big bucks to impress upon others within a community 
conversation that he's "Lad" has done better than other "Lad's"

Makes sense!!
