In 2005, The (London) Times' Higher Education Supplement ranked the IITs #
3 - In 2006, in the opinion of a number of IITians and peer institutions,
we should be ranked #1. This should give enough motivation for all Goans
(Christaos and Koknes) to try and flood the IITs.
Having graduated from the IIT and having played top level hockey in India
and the US, I do not think a seat in the IIT is out of reach for any Goan -
They just need to be aware of the opportunitiies and concentrate & apply
themselves to crack the JEE very early in their school careers - may be in
Grade 8. That awareness is what a number of Goan IITians and I plan to
create in Goa and plan for this at the PAN-IIT conference in India this
Dec.
Goans should not aim for the ITIs, They should all go for the IITs.

RESPONSE: Carmo, I concede, the JEE cracked me! And hundreds of thousands of
others!! Does that make our opinions about IIT(s) as those of "sour grapes"
?? With your constant banter about the IIT, you could be bringing this
hallowed institution and its alumni into disrepute.
