Dear all,
We (3) had just been to Murdeshwar & Jog Fall for a two day tour.
These places are about 200 kms from Goa (about 100kms from Karwar (closer to
Shimoga District & Batkal)
Best to go there by car or by Konkan Railways from Margao direct to
Murdeshwar station (216kms) or Honawar Stn (176kms from where bus takes to
Jogfall 60kms). Transport cost per head about Rs.225 in all (to & fro Margao
-train, bus, Rickshaw)
Gokarna was also on the list (to visit) but had to be abandoned as the sponsor
slightly taken ill (I think he has ‘presao’-achem, although he never been
advised by a doctor on this). At Jog Fall it took about 2hours to go down &
then climb up (with stoppages) on a rough/uneven (katcha) steps without any
hand-rails etc., If you are a heart patient, this is not for you but it can
well be seen or viewed from the top (Jog Fall point).

interested.

Note: I did visit Murdeshwar before about 18 months ago but we arrived there
very late and could not explore it properly so decided to go there once again
as I liked the place very much.
