Have we not had enough of this Balbir carp? Is
anything written about our top females athletes? Here
are two, Susanna Souza and Elma da Cunha who in the
70's and 80's dominated many a sporting event in Goa
and beyond.
Susanna was Goa born while Elma is an Africander. Both
were tops in athletics, be it field or track events.
They were also top seeds in Table Tennis, represented
Goa in football and hockey. How many young girls of
today can perform at this level? Maybe until we write
about top Goan athletes.
Carreer wise Susanna was done by RSS elements. In
Macau these elements were caught paying sex workers.
It was a 'maja' time and their faces dropped when
Steffi could not bring anything for Goa.
