Dear Fr. Desmond de Souza, Thank you for your article in SAR news (what is SAR News?)
It gave me some information on Pe Agnelo that I find useful and which tells me something about this saint of Goa. I have heard of Pe Agnel from the time my uncle was a parish priest in Anjuna church and he showed me his much venerated relic. I was very young then and did not ask the questions that would have given me some idea of his greatness. I must mention that your article was drab and did no justice to his legacy. If you want us to reflect on his sanctity, you must throw out those necessary sparks that do him justice. Perhaps the thought that this forum has a wide international readership may spur you. It would be worth your while as no-one else may do it for us going forward and we might never know the Pe Agnelo we need to know. This note is not a slight to you, just encouragement to make us really feel the spirituality of this man, this saint.
