Re:[Goanet] Married Catholic priests in the UK

Well, like we used to have various split Congress parties like Congress(I),
Congress(U),
Congress(S) etc, soon we may have split Catholics sects or religious bodies
such as
Catholic(C), Catholic(M), Catholic(G) etc etc

I read somewhere long time ago that some groups of Catholic priest already made
representations to the pope to allow them or catholic priests to marry. They
even cited
example saying the first Catholic Pope St.Peter was married.

And if this (splits) do take place in my time, I would, for sure, only go to
Catholic(C)=Celibacy and not Catholic(M)= Married. Simply because may be I am
stubborn and
will not be able to accept these new changes till I am alive.

OK, coming back to the topic 'Married catholic priest...
If there was an opinion poll (by secret ballot) only amongst the priests in Goa
whether the
priest should be allowed to marry or not, the result, with my experience, I can
predict as
follows:

Yes = 70%
No  = 30%

Abv NO (30%) would include:
40% from age group 55 and above
40% unsure* (or confused due to various reasons like society etc)
20% Genuine

*Finally, you may wonder as to what Catholic(G) may stand for
