Several posting usually appear after an article of Domnic Fernandes is published on the internet, through the courtesy of Goanet. All these postings, very rightly, praise his talents. However, after reading several of his pearls of wisdom, I was determined to seek the man out and get to know him better. A couple of weeks ago I called him at his place of work in Saudi Arabia.
Well, he certainly was surprised that one of his fans in Pakistan had CALLED him just to make his acquaintance. Later, through emails we have made plans to meet in Goa in December when my family and I will be there on vacation. Domnic's flair for writing is certainly a gift from God for he takes words and like a true craftsman moulds them to bring out the facts and the flavour of Goan culture and life to the reader even if he has not set foot on the red soil of Goa. This is indeed a rare ability..and Domnic is truly blessed. May we have more such writings from his magical pen.
