By your own logic, you have compromised one institution. Which one have you made less by having both vocations - marriage or priesthood? Btw, I support priests getting married, and women priests (equality). This undue emphasis on sexual matters, celibacy, erotic love, etc. has led to an unhealthy understanding of human sexuality in the Catholic Church. It stems from rules written by celibate older men, who late in their lives, experience impotency and sexual denial, and then want to reinforce the "blessings and gifts" of celibacy. At best a medieval mindset.
