Good idea. It just costs me Rs 900 per month for unlimited broadband
("broadband" in India is defined as just 256 kbps!). So I don't mind
making the area around my home a free hot-spot and sharing it with
anywanting... whenever the connection is on. It is on for most of the
day.
What fun if everyone offered hotspots in Goa :-) And with bandwidth
becoming inexpensive, who cannot afford it? Only an Uncle Scrooge :-)
Must talk to my young techie friend Derek, who handles my set-up very
efficently, as to how this can be made publicly accessible. Who cares?
I don't expect long queues lining up at Sonarbhat :-) Which brings us
to the point: we have a long way to go before enough people in Goa can
realise the relevance of the Net to their daily lives, not just as a
theoretical construct.
Got a chance to talk to college students about blogging the other
day... and it was fun. FN
