I am sorry to be a little late in this message. I had kept the original
article sent by Fredrick aside, and it just slipped my mind to deal with it.
In an article on the AICU demand for a survey of Christians along the line
of the Muslim survey by the Sachar Committee, the following statement was
made: "A morbid and alarming extension of this violence was the rape of
Christian women, particularly in Madhya Pradesh."
In the recent past, at least in Mumbai, I have not seen any coverage of such
rapes. This is indeed a very poor reflection on the mainstream media, which
projects its committment to secularism in all sorts of way. Can Fred provide
us with a list of such rapes during this year, so that we can all give it
wide publicity. Perhaps it might shame the media in the future.
