I have infact very sullenly implide the meaning of the crab mentality in my
last letter to Goanetters.
Anyway, to simplify, here goes:-
If you put two crabs in a basket (panttulo), and when one stronger crab
tries to get out of the basket first, the other tries to bring it down
deliberately and intinctively! The result: both stay in. (Try it out and see
it for yourself - I understand that crabs are very
expensive these days; so are the Goans in general ha! ha!). And this is why
the Goans are said to possess the "crab mentality".
May be some other communities too? but I am talking precisely about the
Goans in Melbourne.
If you need any further explaination, I can still vouch for it! But in
private. I don't like to wash dirty linen in public.
