Mapusa, December 13: St Aloysius College, Mangalore bagged top honours at
the just-concluded National-level, inter-Commerce College fest, ARENA
2006-07, organised by the Department of Commerce, St. Xavier's College,
Mapusa.
The college won first place in the Model-Making, Brain Drain, Print Ad,
Ad-Analyser and Numero Uno competitions.
The two-day fest saw fierce contest between five colleges including MES
College, Vasco; St. Agnes College, Mangalore; Damodar College, Margao and
Fr. Agnels College of Commerce & Arts, Pilar.
Speaking at the concluding ceremony, Chief Guest Mr. Tulio De Souza,
President of the Rotary Club, Mapusa said that ARENA was a well co-ordinated
event that gave opportunities and exposure to young talented students to
tackle "outside college" life.
This is the second year of ARENA and the first time it went National.
