Is a long sermon on how one has achieved closure over his decision to
sell his house in Goa and the advantages of emigrating to Canada, a
sensible way to express ones "interest in the well being of Goa"?
Isn't that how this thread started?
All Goans who have not seen the West should be thankful to Roland
Francis for his great insights into Canadian living. How else would one
have known that healthcare and traffic infrastrucutre in Canada is
superior to Goa?
Witness the immense change that is going to result now that Goans are
armed with these previously unknown facts.
I have now realised my folly and look forward to more cutting insights
and observations on Goa's woes from Goanet's resident
Master-of-the-Obvious and his disciples.
I am going to convince my family and friends to shut shop and move to
the U.K. so that they can all enjoy the wonderful public transport,
healthcare and corruption free environment I do. I can no more bear the
thought of them being happier than I am back home in devolving Goa,
completely ignorant of this wonderful life I enjoy in the West. Poor
Souls!
Regards
Sunith
Roland writes:
There are some people living in Goa and a few of them living outside
who will rush to talk for them, who cannot tell the difference between
observation and critcism. To them no-one else is interested in the
well-being of Goa and Goans except they themselves.
And to them Goa is the be-all and end-all of a Utopia that comprises of
the best beaches and the mango pickle. Luckily for them, they have seen
no other.
