In response to the call for a PUBLIC RALLY at Azad Maidan on the 18th Dec,
there was a HUGE turnout of crowd well over 7,000 !!!
The message and the passion conveyed by the speakers was so powerful that ,
through the 3-4 hours not one person from the crowd even moved. I think the
writing is clear on the wall !!! SCRAP the REGIONAL PLAN 2011 or
else..... ( the politicians must be
shuddering ...)
NDTV 24x7 did an exclusive coverage on Goa on the WITNESS program tonight
at 9.30 pm. EVERY SINGLE GOAN must watch this , somehow. We will try and
see if we can put out a light version on the website.
All the local channels - Goa 365, Goa Plus etc. did a complete coverage of
the rally and was aired on the cable through the evening.
For those who have not clued in themselves with the issue of the REGIONAL
PLAN - Please visit www.savegoa.com . You could also register yourselves
for an email update that we hope to send regularly. In the PRESS COVERAGE
section we have tried to put in many articles published in the papers here
that give you various view points on the subject. Please go through as many
as you can. There is a MESSAGE BOARD where the visitors are encouraged to
READ and POST messages.
It doesn't matter if you are far from Goa - as long as your hearts are
here - your message will reach !!! Please spread the word ..
send letter to the government.. spread the FIRE !
DEMAND that Goa be saved !
