Folks, Last year while I was visiting my in-laws in San Antonio over the Christmas break, I read something which I thought was very strange. San Antonio, Texas has three Air force bases. These bases have had to deal with the return of a lot of dead soldiers. Last year, on Christmas day, the bodies of forty military personal arrived in San Antonio. The parents and loved ones of these dead went to an air force base to collect the bodies (on Christmas day). They were made to wait and then told to return the next day. On the 26th, George Bush himself arrived at the base and released the bodies. I did not think it could get any stranger but guess what? This year, a parent had to go to the base and collect an arm and parts of the torso of his child. Needless to say, people in Texas are not too keen on volunteering into the services anymore. I know a Goan/Tanzanian in San Antonio who had a contract with the US forces. He says that there are recruits from all over the world serving with the US forces in Afghanistan.
