Just two minor corrections. The party is BJP [Not BNP]. It is as opportunist
as Mr. M. Like in the hit song of a Bollywood film one might as well ask,
"Where is the party tonight? On the dance floor?"
Hindus are less than 80 % of goa's population of Goa. There are 26%
Catholics and a good sprinkling of Muslims [6%]. IMHO, it is a mistake to
think of HINDUs as one monolithic block. The Bhandari Samaj is more
comfortable with the Catholics than with the BJP. That explains why the
corrupt Congress survives ...inspite of itself. It is the lesser of the two
evils.
Carmo has only to decide where he would rather put his neck, an old,
weather-beaten spondolysis collar or on the block a shining new, well oiled
guillotine!
Efficiency and efficacy are not everything: one must also see what purpose
it serves.
A lousy friend is better than a smart enemy. One wishes to have good friends
as much as one would like to see an honest politician. Like the Ambassador
and Fiat cars, they are out of production!
