So, "American" is now a language. It is like saying that people in India
speak Indian!
Wake up man. I did say that the Americans were bastardising the English
language in speech, the written word and in their dictionaries. I write
English as it is written in its home country even though I am aware that
there are many versions of it. It has of course become internationally used
worldwide (sometimes badly and sometimes brilliantly as by some outstanding
Indian authors) but its base is still the UK. It most certainly hasn't
become "American" much as you might like this to be and for you to correct
the version as used in the UK is an example, I suggest, of imperial vacuous
arrogance.
