Hi Paulo
Both terms "conquered" and "liberated" appear to be provocative to some Goan 
or the other. I therefore wonder if "reunited" with  India might be less 
provocative to both sides? But, I am aware that even this may not help 
settle the issue as it is ideological in the final analysis.

Personally, although always inclined towards "liberated" I don't feel 
strongly over this issue  except that, so long after 19/12/61, there seems 
to be so much pain for some living abroad. If there was such pain among 
those permanently resident in Goa, I might perhaps give this matter a second 
thought.
