Constantino, I am sorry to say, but there are no coincidences. You and Supergoa are ostracized because of one single and plain fact: You are Portuguese and speak Portuguese, just like myself, and in this forum anything Portuguese is targeted for censorship or slandering or oblivion, as is abundantly evident. Some blokes, of the brainwashed type, they just hate us. It has become an obsession for them. They are poor at fighting ideas so they fight the persons who come up with "inconvenient truths". We were not cast in the same mould as they were and they dislike our intervention in this forum.

They marginalise, they censor, they distort, they select facts, but one thing is common in them all, they simply ignore the Portuguese Goans. You don't hear them talking about the thousands of Goans who live in Portugal (they came here in the wake of the 1961 invasion of Goa), or Mozambique for that matter, diaspora for them means only those who settled in English-speaking countries. If you speak Portuguese, you are "colonial" for them, if you speak English you are "liberated". The fact that English is as colonial a language as Portuguese is lost on them. They actually resent the fact that even today some Goans speak Portuguese in Goa, failing to acknowledge that Portuguese was the mother tongue of many Goan families for centuries.

As you rightly pointed out, famous Goans for them are only those who shone in the English-speaking world. They try to suppress the fact that so many Goans rose to such prominence in Portugal and its colonies, and since the 17th century.

Countering this irrational lusophobia is the reason why I still keep an eye on Goanet.

By the way, congratulations on your magnificent work, and don't be discouraged. Your quality will ultimately triumph over the mediocrity of those who are trying to silence you now.
