Dear Carmo,

With reference to your previous emails, in which you are talking about having a
‘highly educated  CM’, I would like to get to your notice that it was
during his tenure, a vacancy for the post of a Civil Engineer was published in
a marathi daily (having its head office in Kolhapur) and don’t be surprised to
know that only one guy , originally from Belgaum and presently residing in the
outskirts of Ponda attended the interview and was given the job. The guy who
got the job was my batchmate and he did not even feature in the top rankers
list of Goa University. So getting a job in the Government, is it a game of
luck or is it a systematic game played by our beloved ‘highly educated’
politicians to screw up the Christaos? The toppers were forced to leave the
shores to earn a living and the Marathi zealots took the honors in the Govt.
departments, thanks to our Saffronized guys. So Carmo, do you think education
is a important factor in good governance? If a so called ‘highly educated’ guy
dumps us this way, you please judge, conclude and comment.
To be frank, we the educated people (‘not highly educated’) have more faith in
the ‘uneducated’ but sensible Churchill Alemao and not in the ‘highly educated’
people.

The second incident I would like to get to your notice –after the recruitment
drive for police constables, when asked by the media men, why the number of
Christaos selected for the job are very less as compared to the Hindus? This
was the answer given by our beloved ‘highly educated’ guy, ‘Christaos are
ashamed to become Pandu Hawaldars’. Again I would say I need your comments on
this. Go to your own village Velim and ask the kunbis of Cumbeabhat if they
rejected any such offers because of shame, you will get the answer. In the
seventies the MGP tactics forced the educated Christaos  to leave the
shores, Bandodkars have gone, Kakodkars have vanished but the modern day
‘Bandodkars and Kakodkars’ have taken their seats.

It’s easy to sit miles away and write emails and praise a man based on some
facts put forward by the media, but we the people of Goa who have gone through
this shit, know how it stinks.

Goenkars please take care, the chameleon’s are trying to become green because
the monsoon (elections) is near; don’t be surprised to see them changing their
color to Saffron soon after the monsoons.

Planning an IFFI at the cost of Goans and denying them jobs, basic
infrastructure, do you call it good governance? Using and promoting our mother
(Goa) as a prostitute and denying her children (Goans) the benefits, is this
good governance?

Regards,
An Educated Niz Goenkar (pls note ‘not highly educated’)
Rahul Almeida
