Before that, let us check these two catagories of people:
(1)Who might not take no for an answer or who might defend the priests:
One who is
- Deeply religious or perhaps brain washed.
- Has a priest in the family
- Is very closed to priests (including affairs)
- Another priest with different identity/ID by posing as a lay person.
- Very confidential person of the priests (as in so called secret members of the
Fabrique/confrarias/Church)
- A beneficiary (cash help etc)
(2)Who may write against..
- One who knows the facts.
- Some one who is been there.
- One who got hurt
- One who may heard same complaint from 10 different people
- One who may think by doing so, he/she is helping others.

OR A 'FUL' and I will advise him/her to 'sic' expert help.
1- Most Churches in Goa do not have the kind of income that enables priests to
embezzle funds.
The "Escrivao" of the Fabrica keeps a close tab on the property income. Church
emoluments,
which priests have some kind of direct control over, is nothing to speak about.
This does not
mean there are no irregularities, and priests who pocket some of the funds. But
that pocketing
is not enough to buy a Maruti. May be it is enough to have a lavish dinner at
Longuinhos or
some fancy ice cream at Baskin-Robbins.
-HOW ABOUT MAKING MONEY BY SELLING CHRUCH ANTIQUES ? GODS PLUNDERED, REMEBER ?
IF SO MANY LAKHS CASH CAN BE FOUND IN THEIR ROOMS, IMAGINE HOW MUCH IS IN THEIR
BANKS!!
-SOME ASK OR DEMAND DONATIONS FROM THE WEALTHY BRIDEGROOMS (NRIs/TARVOTI) AT
THE TIME OF
CHURCH WEDDINGS FOR WHICH THERE IS NO RECEIPT GIVEN
-SOME DONATION MAY RECEIVED IN CASH FROM THE WELWISHERS FOR THE CHRUCH
IMPROVEMENTS ETC AGAIN
NO RECEIPT IS ASKED, SO CHANCES ARE THERE TO USE SOME OR ALL FOR THEIR PEROSNAL
USE.
- THEY CAN GO HAND IN HAND WITH THE FABRIQUE/CONFRARIA/escrivao OR
(SECRET)MEMBERS WHEN IT
COMES TO A SALE OF CHURCH PROPERTY ETC. SAYING 'YOU KNOW MY SECRET AND I KNOW
YOURS'
2- Most priests in Goa are very hard working, and thus they enjoy enormous
affection from
their parishioners who bestow on them very generously gifts in kind and cash.
There is a
remarkable tradition in most parts of the Catholic world; when a priest, after
his assigned
tenure, is transferred, parishioners collect money, to give to their departing
priest as an
expression of their affection. Often this collection turns out to be
substantial. In Goa, a
number of the priests, in the recent years, have been gifted with cars -
believe it or not.
SOME EVEN ENJOY AFFECTION FROM THE LAY MALE/FEMALE FOR HELPING THEM TO DO THEIR
SHOPPING ETC
IN RETURN, THEY COULD GET TIPS NOT IN SMALL CHANGE BUT IN THOUSANDS.
2- Priests also enjoy an enormous affection from their family members. Many
priests own cars
paid for by their siblings working in the Gulf or in some other countries. Some
priests are
driving the cars of their siblings or other family members while they continue
to work in the
Gulf or in some other foreign countries.
A GOOD OR A TRUE PRIEST WILL NEVER ACCEPT THIS TYPE OF WORLDLY LUXURIES.
FAMILY AFFECTION IS CLEARLY VISIBLE IF ONE VISITS OLD AGED HOMES FOR THE
PRIESTS LIKE CLERGY
HOME PORVORIM ETC.
3- Some priests come from affluent families and they have their own rightful
inheritance which
generates enough revenue to buy a car.
FOR THIS, THEIR PARENTS (BEFORE DEATH) SHOULD RIGHTFULLY OR LEGALLY FURTHER
SUBDIVIDE THEIR
PROPERTY/WEALTH IN ALL CHILDREN'S NAMES. OR AFTER DEATH, ALL CHILDREN WILL
HAVE TO GO THROUGH
THE PROCESS OF INVENTORY PROCEEDING THROU COURT. AND THINGS MANY TIMES GO SOUR
WITH THE
BROTHER/SITERS (AND BRO/SIS IN-LAWS)
4- Some priests have traveled and do travel to foreign countries, offering
their priestly
services as a summer replacement for three months at a time. This summer-
ministry, if done
regularly, compensates them enough (in foreign currency) to buy a used car.
DON'T UNDERSTAND AS TO WHY PRIESTS ARE SENT TO FOREIGN COUNTRIES WHEN IT CALIMS
THERE IS
SHORTAGE OF PRIESTS IN GOA. THEY MAKE SOME POCKET MONEY THERE TOO BY SAYING
MASS IN
SMALL-SMALL GOAN HOUSES. ENTIRE COLLECTION RECEIVED FROM A CERTAIN COMMUNITY IN
THE NAME OF
THEIR CHURCH BACK HOME MAY NOT BE HANDED OVER OR UTILISED, SOME OR ALL MAY GO
FOR THEIR
PERSONAL USE.
NOTE: THE ABOVE APPLIES TO SOME PRIESTS AND NOT ALL
OK, e.g. IF THE ABOVE APPLY SAY FOR 20% BUT IT DOES NOT MEAN THE REMAINING 80%
HAS NO
SKELETONS IN THEIR CUPBOARDS OR SOMEONE TELL ME IF THERE IS ANY LIVING SAINT IN
GOA AMONGST
THE PRIESTS.
I WOULD LIKE TO FIND OUT MORE AND IF FOUND ONE, I WOULD LOVE TO KISS HIS HAND
AND WASH HIS
FEET AND WORSHIP HIM.
IF THERE IS NO ONE THEN I WOULD ASSUME FR. JOSE VAZ (CENTURIES AGO) AND FR.
AGNELO (80 YEARS
AGO) WERE THE ONLY AND THE LAST LIVING SAINTS OF GOA ?
BEING GODMEN, THERE SHOULD BE MORE SAINTS COMING FROM THE PRIEST COMMUNITY AS
THEY ARE
TRADITIONLY TREATED AS 'NEXT TO GOD'.
WITH THE AIRCONDITON, CARS, BIKES, BANK BALANCES ETC WILL THEY PASS THE TEST ?
I MEAN, WILL THEY PASS THROUGH THE NEEDLE HOLE ? IF YES, THEN I WOULD SAY A
CAMEL WOULD HAVE
NO PROBLEM TOO.
