I had hoped to resist the temptation of joining in this discussion, but am
afraid some of the recent postings have gone a step too far.
Let's not forget that priests are not super human beings but mere
mortals like the rest of us; admittedly, by their very position, they are
expected to set a better example. Many do, others fail. Let's not tar
everyone with the same brush.
I'm sure we would not expect our own personal shortcomings or misdeeds to
be aired on the net in the same way as the priests' saga seems to be going
on.
In this connection, I'm reminded of I came across many years ago:
"Let every man sweep in front of his own door, and the whole world will
be clean"
