This month's Goanet operations sponsored by Mrs. Daisy Faleiro

------------------------------------------------------------------------
In reponse to my post on setting up a trust to assist the Save Goa/Goa Bachao
Abhiyan movement, I
received some comments - see below. For those of us who are outside Goa, we can
offer moral
support (go to www.savegoa.com) and financial support. I called the Treasurer
of Save Goa/Goa
Bachao Abhiyan (Mr. Annand Madganvkar) two days ago and congratulated him and
the Core group on
the great work they are doing. I also pledged support and informed him that
many in the worldwide
Goan community support this worthy cause. He informed me they are looking into
a Trust and I will
pass on details when available.

It is up to Save Goa/Goa Bachao Abhiyan whether they want to raise funds and
how to use the funds.
They are people of integrity and honesty and I am sure they will continue to
make good decisions.
It is also up to them, if they decide to field and fund independent candidates
in the next
elections. If they do not, perhaps a trust can be set up to fund good
candidates (pro-Goa,
pro-people), including assisting Goa Su-Raj and Lok Shakti.

Regards,
George

George, The idea of a trust is a most worthy cause.

I truly agree with you. Just mere vocal support from overseas is not enough.

Our contribution will give an added boost to them. The GBA should raise funds
to fight elections,
and solve this problem once and for all.

George Pinto. I agree that you need funds and management for any movement. I do
hope the
organizing committee opens a bank account and the contributions then will be
forthcoming.
