TIATRIST SAMUEL CARVALHO.

I am sure everyone will know who the tiatrist Samuel Carvalho is. Hailing from Majorda Salcette Goa, Samuel is currently one of the well known Goan Stage writers, Directors and Actors. On Friday 16th of this month at Hawally A/C Hall he will stage his Tiatro "Daddy" for which the best of available artistes from Goa will participate along with very good musicians namely Norman Cardoso and Agnelo Dias. “Hem Tumkam Sogleank", "Portuguez Goykar" and "Bhogsonne" were his earlier Tiatros in which he acquired total success and they were staged all over Goa and in some of the countries in the Gulf as well. Samuel is not a fresher in Kuwait, in fact he worked in Kuwait for many years for M/s Al Riyash Trading Co. from the time he landed in Kuwait in 1991 after the invasion and liberation of Kuwait and left Kuwait for good almost after a decade. During his residence in Kuwait he acted in some of the Tiatros organized by the Kuwait Goan tiatrists, one being that of Anthony de Majorda. First time in his lifetime he acted in Goa for Patrick Dourado’s “Noketr” and gained tremendous goodwill and abundant appreciation from the audience. His favourite role is that of a villain but he is also known as a good character actor. As a tiatrist he acted for many of the top directors namely C. D. Silva, Anthony San, Milagres de Chandor and Comedian Agostinho.

This is the second time he is touring Kuwait with his own troupe and own drama. Before coming to Kuwait, Samuel and his troupe has already staged this show “Daddy” in Dubai on last Thursday and received a very good response there. On coming Thursday 15th of this month he will stage "Daddy" in Bahrain and from there he and his troupe will fly to Kuwait to stage "Daddy" in Kuwait on Friday 16th of this month at Hawally A/C Hall, at 3.30 p.m. When questioned about his expectation in Kuwait, he immediately answered “I expect very good crowd in Kuwait” because very many people are anxiously waiting to see this show as this is one of the best season's Tiatros in Goa. Speaking about this show, he said people must watch how beautifully and smartly all his artistes are going to play their respective roles. And to give an extra booster for this show, he said he has inductaed best of local talents in renowned Rosary Ferns an architect of first ever Konkani CD plus 13 Konkani Albums in the form of Audio Cassttes, CD's and VCD's. Rosary Ferns is also an author of about 20 Konkani Tiatros which is also an unique record amongst the expatriate Tiatrists. I dont think any of the expatriate Goan Tiatrists has achieved or equalled this feat; Sanny de Quepem who is known to be a very sweet voiced singer and very good composer and also the producer of his Konkani Album "Saibinnicho Tisro Segred"; Michael D'Silva who is the favourite of the audience and upcoming M. Luis.

Expressing his gratitude for all his artistes, Samuel said that he is very grateful to all his artistes for cooperating with him so much and supporting him in every respect.
