Excerpts: Goa's placid and laid-back media scene that has been stagnant for much of the past two decades, is seeing some active changes, with the television scene leading the rush. New Delhi-based STV Enterprises has announced plans for a 24-hour digital satellite news channel in English and Konkani "exclusively for the people of Goa". Its promised launch date is March 2007 . Local newspaper Herald also has plans to launch its own TV "channel".
