Carmo,
Purportedly quoting Nehru from Jose Colaco's offhand written remarks
is not my idea of you proving that Jawaharlal actually said what you
imputed to him. Nor was Nirad Chaudhuri a Jawaharlal Nehru.
Chaudhuri was nothing more than a Brown Englishman Bengali babu poseur
whose writings were hailed in a few intellectual circles due to his
criticism of anything Indian. His accounting clerk background with the
British Indian Army forever soured his view of Indian independence and
of a free India.
I repeat once again, that Nehru despite all his faults and prejudices,
did not and would not ever utter such a derogatory remark against his
fellow Indians.
Roland.
An excerpt from Jose Colaco's TGF upon which you base Nehru's remarks:
"The so called Pandit Nehru displayed his true Anglo-Aryan prejudice
when he spoke of Goans in terms of only cooks and butlers. Indian
films always had an 'easy' Goan sexetary who was there for the
pickings".
